Rustic Burlap Trees

These festive burlap trees were pretty simple to make.

Supplies:
Two foam trees, burlap, scissors and craft pins.
Cut the burlap across at about 5 inches wide.
Fold strip in half and pull the string to gather the fabric.
Once you get it as full as you like tie the string off at the end.
Wrap the burlap around the tree and pin the fabric to the foam to keep it in place.
I used a craft pin to secure a star at the top.
I pressed one corner of this star into the foam and hot glued it to stay.
The burlap on the smaller one was cut slightly longer.
They're a little shaggy and rustic...
Two stars the same style in different sizes would be better
- now that I have them done - I realize that.
Hmmm - luckily that is an easy change.

Burlap + Christmas; what could be better? I'm loving your sweet trees. Just got all the decor down from the attic and I'm sitting here waiting for inspiration to strike. I wanted to tell you that I went to Lowes and got the cute evergreens for $3.97 and wrapped them up in burlap for the porch... SO CUTE! Thanks for yet another great idea, friend! Happy Thanksgiving, btw! xoxo jules
