Wintery Welcome & Wine

 A few weeks ago I picked up a wine box at Costco.
It was all natural wood.

I stained it with dark walnut wood stain.
{shhh - I asked REALLY nicely and got it for free}
Filled it with used wine bottles and white spray painted twigs.
Placed candles in the bottle tops and sprayed faux snow
around the whole display.
{I believe I live too far south to see much real snow}
It's a wintery welcome display to greet our guests.
I need to call the neighbors over for a winter porch wine party.

It's looks very inviting! I am longing to keep some sort of decorating theme going for winter. Normally, I just pack up all things Christmas and everything feels bare until Spring rolls around. But, I'm loving all the white, silvery and snowy decor for the winter months and hope to modify some of the holiday stuff to fit this theme. And I love white twinkle lights pretty much any time of the year. Can't go wrong with twinkle lights!

So pretty, and yes I would love to come. We almost always have a very snowy winter by now, and we just received our first snow yesterday. It is cold enough to stay and more is expected tomorrow.

I just stumbled on your blog via pinterest. You have so many great ideas and I'm just crazy about your idea for using french doors for basement doors. Thanks for the inspiration!

I really like what you did to the wine case. Darkening really brought out character. Pinned :)
