Project Challenge - Fencing

Welcome to Project Challenge. A monthly event where six bloggers use one type of material and share how we used it in different ways. This month we are using fencing.
You can link up a project of your own too!

Want to make a unique porch accent for your house number? It will make your porch stand out among the neighbors and you can even say you made it all by yourself.  Let's gather our supplies...

1- (3) picket fence slats from Home Depot for $1.47 each.
2 - A garden hook for about $3.00
3 - Any type of lantern that can hang from the hook
4 - Your house number stickers that are printed from a Cricut. (you could even stencil them onto glass with paint)
Cut about 12 inches off the bottom of each slat. Put two 12 pieces aside.

Lay the three fence slats flat on the ground.

Use 1 inch wood screws to connect the two 12 inch boards horizontally to the three vertical boards to keep them in place. Use more than one screw on a couple of the wood pieces so they won't wiggle.
I attached a D Ring in the center for easy hanging.
Drill in the hook at the height where your lantern will hang just above center.
Attach your house numbers.
Display in a group of decorative items or all by itself.
Please share a project you have made with fencing in our link up below.

I just love this!! You are so good at building things! When ever I try it seems something goes wrong. I just love that your project has the house numbers on it and it is a great conversation piece too. I'm sure no one else in the neighborhood (or probably the whole state!) has one!

That is such a cute idea for your front porch. It would look great to light the candle when you have guests coming over.

You always create the cutest stuff. I got a Cricut for Christmas. I need to get busy making something.
