Sit & Relax in this Space

This is the living room.
The only purchases I made for this room were plants for my pots.

The valances were already here. I raised the rod, used clips for the valance and added some white sheers.
I don't have a double rod. The sheers are thin enough that they clip on the back side of the valance.
The sun shines in this space early in the morning. That makes a perfect spot for magazines and coffee.
I brought boxes and boxes of old magazines with me from CT.
It appears that is what I collect.
This pot was left on the back deck - it was already perfectly worn.
A perfect space to wind down and relax in the evenings, too.

The paint color here is Northampton Putty by Ben Moore.
(pretty much - I mixed another two colors to make more of left over paints in the garage)
This house is a leased home. If it were my own I would put some nice board and batten wainscoting on those walls.

So you are settling in nicely? Kids start school? Meet the neighbors?

So happy to see you are using the green ruffly pillow. I've written before and would love to know where you got it. Also, love how you decorate. Good wherever you land!

It looks so pretty!! The layout of your foyer to your living room and the furniture arrangement reminds me of your last home. Looks like everything fits in beautifully.

I found your blog probably a month ago, and have been drooling ever since. Exactly my style, and how I want my house to look some day ;) I wondered if you made that white piece on art above your couch in the living room or if you bought it somewhere? It looks very nice, I'd love to hear how you did it. Thanks!

I love how you decorate, everything ties in perfectly. I have a problem of knowing when too much is TOO MUCH! How do you decide if too much antique stuff is over doing it? I want to display everything but not feel overwhelmed. Any advice? I love your blog, your decor style is right on!
