Kindness Matters ~ Chalkboard

As a mom, I feel like my voice is silent - even when I am shouting.
{oh....do I shout? - kindly, I'm sure =)}

I like to think that small messages get noticed.
Like this one in our hallway.
I painted the center of this shipping crate lid in chalkboard paint and stained over the frame that had over-spray of paint and some stamped words saying -
USE OTHER SIDE.
I like the "roughness" of the frame. There's even a hammered dent in the center.
(somebody got a hold of my tools)
But I like the simple words the best.

One of my favorite quotes is from a song by Jewel, "In the end, only kindness matters." I love this idea for a quote on a chalkboard. Very nicely done!

Kindness matters more everyday, it's nice to have a reminder of that. I love chalkboards, must be the teacher in me.
Have a great weekend.

Kindness does matter. I told my hubby that if I die I would hope the one thing people would remember is that I tried to always be a kind person- xo Diana

Nice!!! Like the simplicity of the sentiment. Kindness does matter. I think we are all guilty of forgetting it at times :-(
Have a wonderful weekend Holly.

IT SURE DOES! A while ago, my kids were being so unkind I started to worry. Was I modeling this meanness? I put so many reminders to "Be Kind" around our house we couldn't move without seeing one. I love yours! Sometimes the simplest messages are the ones that stick! xoxo jules

I'm a firm believer in instilling life's lessons in children and this is an awesome way to do it.

I know you are kind - you will always be remembered as kind, fun and happy by me. Don't go anywhere, though. Blogland loves you!

That was a great way to reuse the bottom of a crate! I love the simple message. Good idea. Now, when your kids are fighting, you can just point to the sign and make them read it again. LOL!
